HasBrackets are a puck-based mounting system for attaching a Hasbro Proton Pack to ALICE frames. They are a geometry-driven solution designed to mount and wear your pack securely while protecting the frame and distributing load intelligently.
We consider vintage ALICE frames just as much of an investment as the pack itself, and HasBrackets were designed with that in mind. This is a functional mounting system — not decorative trim — built to solve a real problem intentionally and affordably.

How the System Works
HasBrackets use a mechanically captured clamp design, not the simple friction-only pinch used by most other mounts on the market.
The ALICE frame rail is seated between two mating puck components, creating a physical hard stop. When assembled, the frame is geometrically captured rather than relying solely on clamping force. The included fasteners provide preload and stability, helping resist rotation and movement during wear.
Because the frame is captured by geometry instead of being crushed between hard metal surfaces, forces are spread across a larger contact area. This reduces point loading, minimizes abrasion, and avoids concentrating stress at a single mounting point.
Metal brackets are not automatically better.
In this application, load path and force distribution matter more than material alone, and the design reflects that reality.

Design scope:
HasBrackets are designed and tested for use with a standard, unmodified Hasbro Proton Pack. As with any mounting system, overall pack weight and how it is distributed matter. Builds that significantly alter pack weight, structure, or mounting geometry fall outside the scope of what we designed and tested for.

ALICE frames are not all the same.
LC-1 and LC-2 frames use different rail geometry and require different bracket profiles.
This listing includes separate variations for LC-1 and LC-2 frames.
Please verify which frame style you have and select the correct HasBrackets version when ordering. Reference the comparison photos in the listing to confirm fitment.
If you’re unsure which frame you have, ask first — we would much rather help you confirm compatibility up front than guess afterward.
